The programme

An all-Canadian celebration of song, at a new venue for the choir. The programme ranged from an African a cappella song, traditional island music and a French-Canadian drinking song to the Rankin Family, Connie Kaldor and a Maritime kitchen song by Stan Rogers. The men of Mount Boucherie joined the choir’s men for Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, Kim Kleineberg sang Sarah McLachlan’s Angel, and the evening included the first performance of Leaves’ Tales, written by choir members Jill Bell and Tom Gruendel.
