Sing with us
We are a mixed-voice adult choir, and we welcome singers from all ages and stages. If you have been meaning to get back to singing, this is your nudge.
What to expect
How joining works
- Get in touch first. Email us at info@spectrumsingers.ca and tell us a little about your singing — we will reply with the current rehearsal schedule and let you know where we are in the season.
- Come and listen. You are very welcome to sit in on a rehearsal in West Kelowna, BC before you decide.
- A friendly voice placement. We are an auditioned choir, but the audition is a short, relaxed conversation and a few exercises so our director can hear your range and place you in a section.
- We sing everything from memory. The Spectrum Singers memorise the entire repertoire — a spectrum of musical styles, often in a variety of languages. It asks something of you, and it gives the audience faces to watch and enjoy rather than a row of folders.
- Then you are one of us. Weekly rehearsals, two concert programmes a season, and a room full of people who are glad you came.

Where might you fit?
Soprano & Alto
The upper voices carry much of our melodic line — and plenty of the descants that make a December concert sparkle.
Tenor & Bass
Lower voices are the foundation of our sound, and like most community choirs we are always delighted to hear from more of them.
Not sure which you are? That is exactly what the voice placement is for. Whichever part you land in, you will learn it by heart — and you will not be doing it alone.
